The movie Bye Two Love has created a lot of curiosity among the movie buffs because of its catchy title.
Let us analyse
The story is about Balakrishna alias Balu (Dhanveerrah Gowda), an angry young man who does not like love, marriage and having children, is from Davangere. He comes to Bengaluru for livelihood.
Leela (Sree Leela) is from Dakshina Kannada. She also does not like friends, love and marriage. Circumstances compel them to join Mr and Mrs Marriage Bureau. They fall in love and want to adopt a child for a trial purpose.
Meanwhile, Balu asks Leela to resign job and look after the child. As usual, both of them face financial problems and decide to handover the child to the same person (Rangayana Raghu) who gave it to them.
Balu goes to his native and Lela goes to her maternal home. What happens to them and the child is the climax.
Artistes’ performance:
Dhanaveerrah Gowda, who acted in Kannada movie Bazaar that was directed by Simple Suni in 2019, has improved a lot. However, he has to go a long way when it comes to romance and sentiment. He looks stoic in most of such scenes. He has acted well in a stunt sequence.
Sree Leela, who acted in Kannada movie Kiss and Telugu movie Pelli Sandadi, is at her best. She looks glamorous and excels in scenes where she acts as an innocent girl. Her tryst with a child artiste in the movie is a treat to watch.
When it comes to character artiste Rangayana Raghu, his performance is brief but his dialogue delivery and body language are very good. His dialogues, especially those on the relationship between parents and children, convey the much needed message to society, especially those who do not want to live with their parents.
Pavithra Lokesh, as a concerned and affectionate mother, has provided very good support. Sadhu Kokila provides the much needed comedy. Achyuth Kumar has nothing to do in this movie except appearing in two to three scenes.
Highlights:
Sree Leela, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila
Dialogues loaded tones of emotions and sentiment..
Drawbacks:
Dhanveerrah Gowda’s failure to act as a lover and responsible son.
Analysis
It is quite disappointing to see director Hari Santosh allowing the characters to wander as per their whims and fancies.
It is also amusing how Hari Santosh, who had helmed movies such as Alemari, Darling, Love, College Kumar, Victory-2 and Bichchugatti – Chapter 1, has lost control over the artistes in the movie.
Some scenes in this movie, especially those where the hero and heroine work at Mr and Mrs Marriage Bureau, are far from convincing.
Music director B Ajneesh Lokanath has done a commendable job.
Bottom-line: Only for those who have no other option to spend their money and leisure time.
