Bengaluru, Feb. 8: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday ordered closure of high schools and colleges in the state for three days in the wake of violent incidents at a few colleges over the hijab row.

"I appeal to all to maintain peace in the state. I want no one issue provocative statements. Let us wait for High Court judgement tomorrow," said Chief Minister.

He has directed police to maintain law and order in the state.
