Finally, after receiving a flak from public and politicians, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Thursday canceled the permission given to the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shiva Kumar for organizing a meeting at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi on January 18 and 19.
A letter signed by BBMP South Executive Engineer (Projects) has stated that permission given to the KPCC president stands canceled due to the Covid norms issued on January 12 by the state government.
The latest Covid norms prohibit meetings and gatherings at public places due to the increase in number of Covid cases in Bengaluru.
