The movie KGF Chapter 2 is a sequel to KGF Chapter 1 that was released in 2018.

Let us analyse

The narration of movie KGF Chapter 2 begins in a non-linear method. Director Prashanth Neel introduces a flashback scene that narrates how young Raja Krishnappa Bairya is motivated and encouraged by his mother Shanthamma to become rich. The scene immediately shifts to a hospital where Anand Ingalgi is battling with life and his son Vijayendra Ingalgi (Prakash Raj) reluctantly agreeing to narrate the story of KGF to Deepa Hegde (Malavika), Chief Editor of a private channel and Srinivas (Nagabharana), the owner of the TV channel. The narration continues stating how Rocky (Yash) selects a dangerous path after eliminating Garuda. Circumstances compel Rocky to encounter Adheera (Sanjay Dutt). Adheera allows seriously injured Rocky to go home. After recovering from bullet injuries, Rocky goes abroad to purchase modern and deadly weapons. Rocky, as a good gesture, allows seriously injured Adheera to escape from KGF. What happens to Rocky and whether or not Adheera survives is the climax.

Artistes’ performance:

Yash has put all his efforts to meet his fans’ expectations. His dialogue delivery is superb. He is very good at stunt sequences. The scene introducing Sanjay Dutt character in the movie deserves appreciation. Srinidhi Shetty, who played a brief role in KGF Chapter 1, got a little bit extra screen space in this movie. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has done justice to her assignment. Telugu character artiste Rao Ramesh, as a CBI officer, has acted well. Prakash Raj and Malavika have provided good support.

Highlights:

The competition between Yash and Sanjay Dutt in action scenes is the highlight of this movie. Raveena Tandon, as a righteous Prime Minister Ramika Sen, is superb. Achyuth Kumar, as a cunning and greedy politician Guru Pandian, is convincing. A few scenes that reveal involvement of politicians in the KGF mining scam and the killing of the main kingpin Guru Pandian in the Lok Sabha that too in the presence of the Prime Minister, though look too cinematic, are some other highlights of this movie.

Drawbacks:

Lack of comedy scenes or melodious songs are the main drawbacks of this movie.

Analysis

Director Prashanth Neel and Yash have made all out efforts to make KGF Chapter 2 better than the KGF Chapter 1. Once again, director Prashanth Neel has ensured powerful and punchy dialogues that have the potential to make Yash’s fans happy. Bhuvan Gowda, as in KGF Chapter 1, has worked behind the camera and deserves appreciation. Ravi Basrur’s background score is very good. However, too many scenes of violence may not encourage family audiences to come to theaters to watch this movie. The climax may not encourage audiences to watch this movie for a second or third time.

Bottom-line: It is worth watching by those who love to watch action-oriented movies.
