Bengaluru on Wednesday recorded a maximum temperature of 24.3°C, the lowest in the month of May in the last 10 years, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The temperature on May 11 was nine degrees below the normal maximum temperature.

The previous lowest maximum temperature recorded in the city in the last decade was 33.8°C on May 2, 2015.
